ManaVision and TBWA/Chiat/Day recently teamed up to produce and edit 3 onsite spots for Sara Lee Food and Beverage. TBWA/Chiat/Day used stop action photography to capture individuals enjoying Sara Lee products. Onsite ManaVision editor, Mindi Lee used rapid cut editing and upbeat music to underscore Sara Lee’s new Joy of Eating campaign.
MANAVISION HELPS WRAP UP "OUR OHIO"

ManaVision recently completed first season post production on "Our Ohio." The travel show is produced by ThinkTV and airs weekly on Ohio PBS Television. The facility posted 26 episodes of the show, handling finishing services that included graphics and titling.

The Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy
of Television Arts and Sciences announced today
that Clark's Mr. Prescription Commercial Campaign
has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
In the Commercial category, Hometown, We're Here For You and We Make It Easy, produced and directed by Sam Manavis, received the nomination.
The regional Emmy recognizes excellence in the areas of local news, programming and individual achievement and is considered to be one of the industry's highest honors. The Ohio Valley Chapter includes 14 television markets from a four-state region, including parts of Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana and Kentucky.

ManaVision is in the process of finishing post on Erma Bombeck: A Legacy of Laughter. The documentarty celebrates one of America’s best loved humorists. Recollections from family and friends along with photographs and rare home movies tell the story of her life and career. Phil Donahue, family friend and host of the award-winning talk show Donahue narrates.
The ThinkTV production will be distributed nationally by American Public Television and will be seen in over 90% of the nation’s television markets.

motion graphics work on a one hour public affairs
program Justice for All?. ManaVision
owner/editor, Sam Manavis, worked with ThinkTV
senior producer, Shawn Brady to sort through
footage to create the program.
Justice for All?, hosted by Ray Suarez (Senior Correspondent, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer) explores the impact of Tough-on-Crime policies, and the role of the criminal justice system in our society. In addition to editorial, ManaVision provided a graphics package that included lower thirds and open and closing animations. The program was edited on the studio’s Avid Media Composer. Graphics were created using a combination of Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.

MANAVISION ANIMATES FLOOD DOC

Dayton-based ManaVision, Inc. recently completed a series of video animations for the ThinkTV (PBS-Dayton, Ohio) documentary, “Goodbye, The Levee Has Broken: The Story of the Great Dayton Flood.” The documentary recounts the day-by-day events of the Great Dayton Flood of 1913, as experienced by its victims and survivors. Taken from personal diaries, letters, and newspaper articles, the stories and accounts of the flood are brought to life through drawings, film footage, and rarely seen archival photographs.
"We are very pleased that we were able to get ManaVision on-board with the documentary. We were working under tremendous pressure with the program's deadline and getting high quality work in a timely fashion was critical to the project's success." said Shawn Brady, Emmy award-winning producer and ThinkTV production manager.
ManaVision worked directly with the production team at ThinkTV to ensure that the final pieces met technical specifications and artistic requirements.
"We were excited to be so close to this incredible experience,” said ManaVision president, Sam Manavis. “When ThinkTV approached us to be a part of this project, I knew immediately it was something truly unique, and a very important part of preserving history.”
Brady was very excited about the animation sequences produced by ManaVision. "ManaVision's ability to creatively use modern technology to both complement and accentuate the historical material really helped to raise the level of excitement for our audience. There is no doubt that the animations elevated the entire program."
