Main Phases of Video Production
Phase 1 - Pre-Production
Consultation
A creative approach for your video will be defined. Costs are quoted by ManaVision and timeline set.
Scripting
The most important part of the pre-production process is the script. Script writing for video is different than writing print copy and serves as a plan for the actual production work. Your ManaVision writer will have experience writing the type of video you are having produced. Your writer will write complete with detailed audio and video notes.
Locations
ManaVision will offer several location options for shooting. You may want to consider a studio space designed specifically for video production. If you have already picked a location, ManaVision will evaluate the location. There are several things that need to be considered. Accessibility, power supply, noise, acoustics, existing lighting, windows, light-ability, ventilation, etc. Many companies do not take the time to find a good location for taping. This can lead to poor audio or video quality.
Casting
If you will use on-camera talent or a narrator for your video, ManaVision hasaccess to a wide variety of actors and voice specialists for you to choose from.
Rehearsals
Your actors and voice people will have copies of your script well ahead of the shoot dates. Well rehearsed talent can cut production time by as much as 50%. This can mean huge cost savings for you.
Phase II – Production
Shooting
ManaVision will assemble a qualified video crew to tape and record all required materials outlined in the video and audio portions of the script. The crew assigned to your project will have a history of working together and finishing jobs on time.
Phase III - Post-Production
Editing
ManaVision video editing involves two separate processes: Off-line editing and On-line editing. Off-line editing involves creating a rough cut of your finished project. The purpose of this first cut is to make decisions on timing, scene sequence and shot selection. The On-line edit, the final video contains all of these things and any other visual specifications that were outlined in the script.
Phase IV - Duplication
Package Design
Your project may require special packaging for your DVD. A simple case with label may suffice. However, if you need a cover designed for your DVD, ManaVision will provide this service for you.
Duplication
Along with your master, ManaVision will deliver as many DVDs as you require.
